What is TAFE?

TAFE stands for​ Technical and Further Education. Known also as TVET in many countries, TAFE focuses on providing practical training which gives you the knowledge and skills for your chosen career.

TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) is the unit within the Western Australian Department of Training and Workforce Development responsible for the recruitment and admission of international students studying at North Metropolitan TAFE.

North Metropolitan TAFE is a government backed and guaranteed college located in the greater northern metropolitan region of Perth.

We offer a wide range of career-focused courses, modern facilities as well as excellent pathways to university programs.

All international students applying to study at North Metropolitan TAFE must apply through TIWA.

TIWA works in partnership with North MetropolitanTAFE to ensure that international students are encouraged to achieve their study goals, including continuing to higher education studies at university.
