Graphic Design

Graphic Design is the art of combining visual communication and problem solving, and presenting solutions using a variety of tools, that inspire, inform and captivate consumers into unique user experiences.

The umbrella of the graphic design universe is indeed a large one, encompassing many interesting avenues and ever-evolving technologies, allowing both holistic and specialist career paths.

Our graphic design programs simulate real world experience, which means they are endorsed by Industry Advisory Groups, and you can expect project briefs directly from clients with visual communication requirements in the Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses.

All course units focus heavily on the practical nature of design and replicate a real design workplace by using iMacs and Adobe Creative Cloud software, among others.

All courses are geared to industry needs and standards and by the end of your studies (most students complete three years), you will have developed a folio that will be your passport to future employment. Our industry trained staff will guide you towards design solutions that are relevant, as you develop an understanding of digital and print production, motion graphics, 3D, User Experience (UX) Design, copyright legalities and the business of design.

After the comprehensive practical nature of the Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma, you may choose to enrol into a degree in design and receive advanced standing at all WA universities. We have study pathways and agreements with Curtin University.

Industry and association endorsement

Our educational outcomes have been refined by industry panels consisting of respected studios and agencies and are verified by members of peak industry representative bodies, Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) and Perth Advertising and Design Club (PADC).
