Are you seeking a career in Work Health and Safety (WHS)?

PCBU (persons conducting a business or undertaking) and business owners have a responsibility to health and safety in the workplace and require WHS professionals. This course will provide you with the skills to develop a career as a WHS professional such as a WHS advisor or officer.

After completing this qualification, you will be able to work as a health and safety practitioner and become responsible for the corresponding WHS functions within a workplace. Minimum requirement in industry for WHS practitioners is usually the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

Inherent requirements you would require to successfully complete this qualification:

  • Ability to navigate the Microsoft 365 suite in particular Excel and Word
  • Good time management skills

  • A basic understanding of mathematics (arithmetic)
  • Skilled at navigating websites on internet for research purposes
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions/signs/meters including specific information from tables and Safety Data Sheets
